John Lennon’s son Julian stuns the world by singing father’s ‘Imagine’ for ‘the first time ever’

John Lennon’s son Julian vowed he would never perform his father’s iconic peace anthem “Imagine”. But current events led the musician to rethink his previous decision, and wow… it’s what we all needed to hear.

Julian Lennon, the son of the legendary musician and singer John Lennon, had always stated that he would never perform his father’s famous song “Imagine” unless there was a catastrophic event. However, due to the ongoing war in Ukraine since February, causing immense loss of lives and homes, Julian decided to sing this deeply moving song that touches the soul.

Julian sang Imagine at the Global Citizen’s Stand Up for Ukraine event and mentioned that the heartbreaking situation in Ukraine inspired him to take action in a meaningful way.

He wrote that the song represents the hope for a brighter future. Due to the continuous and violent conflicts, countless families have been compelled to abandon their homes and find refuge in other places.

Julian participated in a fundraiser that raised approximately $10 billion. This money will be used to assist Ukrainian refugees, according to Deadline. It is estimated that around 4.5 million people have already fled the country.

Julian asked from the world to help the refugees and every other person who is dreaming of a better life.

I urge world leaders and all supporters of the IMAGINE movement to take a stand for refugees worldwide! Kindly promote and contribute with compassion.

His performance, done with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, is both simple and deeply moving. The message it conveys is the most significant part.

We wish for peace all around the world.
