Meghan Markle’s Ex-husband Trevor Engelson Got His ‘Revenge’ On Her

Five years have passed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were wed.

Previously, the actress was wed to Trevor Engelson a long time ago. But regrettably, it didn’t last and ended poorly.

Trevor and Meghan are both contentedly married today. The Suits star’s ex-husband has an incredible wealth, and you might be surprised by what he does for a living.

In reality, not a lot is known about Trevor’s life. However, a few days ago, one of his friends came out and shared fresh details about what transpired, including how Trevor exacted his “revenge” on the Duchess.

Meghan initially got to know Trevor Engelson while she was just starting her acting career, which would go on to become very successful. He was born in Great Neck, Long Island, New York, on October 23, 1976, and went to the University of Southern California’s School of Communications, according to IMDb.

In the film industry, Engelson began as a production assistant and worked his way up to become a producer. He has contributed to numerous films, including Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me (2010). Early in her acting career, his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle had a brief appearance in one of his films.

Additionally, Engelson has worked on films including All About Steve and License to Wed. He has also served as executive producer for six of the Heathers television remake’s episodes. The FX television series Snowfall, which concluded its sixth and final season earlier this year, has been Engelson’s biggest hit in more recent years. With its main office located in Beverly Hills, California, Underground, his own production and management firm, released it.

When not on set directing movies and TV series, the 45-year-old in Los Angeles represents screenwriters, novelists, actors, and film directors, according to Grazia.

So, how did Meghan Markle and Trevor get together? The Sun claims that their paths touched for the first time in 2004. After dating for around seven years, the couple tied the knot in September 2011. Their three-day nuptial ceremony was held at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The Sun claims that the pair planned events for almost a hundred people, including breakfasts, drinking games on the beach, parties, and even a wheelbarrow race. The ritual? That was only fifteen minutes ago.

Meghan was a briefcase model on the game show Deal or No Deal, as previously noted. But according to Meghan: A Hollywood Princess by author Andrew Morton, Trevor wasn’t too thrilled to see her when she was filming.

Trevor Engelson was ‘to busy’ to visit his wife

Engelson didn’t visit her like other model husbands or friends did, which Morton (via Express) described as “unusual.” This was reportedly due to his busy schedule as a producer, which even prevented him from accompanying Meghan on a trip during her free time.

“They were driven individuals, Trevor was busy, if not more so than his girlfriend,” royal biographer Andrew Morton wrote in Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.

“It was so unusual that his absence was commented on by the other girls. However, there were plenty of other celebrities, mainly sports stars, who dropped by, some clearly trying to get up close and personal with the girls,” he added.

2011 was Meghan Markle’s TV series debut; it was also the year she got married to Trevor. The show was primarily taped in Toronto, so she moved there shortly after it became an immediate success.

Only a few months prior to Meghan’s marriage to Trevor, she was cast in the part, and their five-hour flight distance became a barrier to their married life. Video chats allowed them to stay in touch, but they were unable to resolve the difficult circumstance.

According to Andrew Morton’s book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, “Whether she wanted to admit it to herself or not, Meghan who once said she couldn’t imagine life without Trevor by her side, was now building a new world for herself.”

Allegedly, Meghan Markle sent Trevor Engelson a picture of her wedding band.

“The dynamics in their relationship subtly changed as Toronto began to feel more like home than Los Angeles.”

Up to 2018, Markle appeared in over 100 episodes of Suits. However, she had divorced Trevor Engelson by 2013. At the time, the pair cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Trevor “worshipped the ground she walked on,” as Markle’s half-brother Thomas subsequently revealed to Express.

In 2017, a source revealed to The Sun that Trevor was “devastated at the split.”

“She suddenly had no more time for him. Meghan broke Trevor’s heart, pure and simple. He is still in love with her and so the revelation of her new relationship with Harry has hit him hard.”

According to royal author Andrew Morton, Trevor was taken aback by the breakup, and Meghan even sent him a picture of herself and her rings as a clue that their union was over.

“As Toronto was becoming more her home than LA, the dynamics in their relationship subtly altered. She was her own woman now, earning a steady income, making new friends on set and off, no longer dependent on her husband’s connections.”

Separated in 2013

In fact, it appears that Meghan and Trevor’s spit was really dramatic. Regardless, Nikki Priddy, a former childhood friend of Meghan, and novelist Lady Colin Campbell appear to agree.

Meghan started hanging out with celebrities after moving to Toronto, including celebrity stylist Jesica Mulroney, according to Campbell’s account in the book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.

The former Suits star decided to cut ties with her ex-husband as a result.

Lady Colin Campbell wrote, “Trevor had always been laidback where she was controlled and controlling.”

“He would arrive for appointments slightly late and disheveled, his shirt out of his trousers and maybe a spot of food on his lapel, while the perfectly contained and self-possessed Meghan was always immaculately turned out.”

In 2013, Meghan Markle and Trevor Engelson parted ways. What then transpired? Meghan’s future actions are well known, but Trevor, despite his continued prominence as a producer, stayed out of the news and didn’t make any appearances in interviews.

Trevor dated Bethenny Frenkel, a celebrity from Real Housewives of New York, following their breakup with Meghan.

She acknowledged that they were dating and that she was aware of his past with Meghan in an interview with the Australia Kyle and Jackie O Show in April 2018.

“I met him in Chicago, and we were supposed to go out, and I ended up seeing him one time, and he’d been texting me. He’s a producer in LA. He told me that he was married before, he’s divorced [now]. He was married to this girl named Meghan Markle from the TV show Suits.”

This is Trevor Engelson today – wife, children

“We bypassed the romantics and went into the business,” she added. “But I don’t know there’s something there. There’s something salacious about doing a TV project with Meghan Markle’s ex.”

Something seemed to be there even though he and Meghan had broken up a few years before. According to a 2017 Fox report, Engelson was set to co-produce a series about a man whose ex-wife married a British prince, forcing him to share custody of their child.

It appears like you know a lot about the second portion. “The lead characters are not based on Markle or Engelson,” Deadline reported at the time. The show has never advanced past pilot screenings as of yet.

Frankel and Engelson failed to last. Nevertheless, Meghan’s ex-husband soon discovered the love of his life.

After divorcing Meghan, he started dating Tracey Kurland four years later. A little more than a year after Harry and Meghan’s lavish wedding at St. George’s Chapel, the couple exchanged vows on May 11, 2019.

The Duchess doesn’t have nearly as much money as Trevor and his wife have, despite the fact that Harry and Meghan have amassed a sizable fortune from their Netflix partnership, inheritance from Harry’s mother, and prior employment.

The father of Tracey Kurland was a $500 millionaire in the mortgage business. He tragically died in 2021. Tracey reportedly inherited about $250 million at the time, according to reports.

According to a friend, Meghan shattered him when she asked for a divorce.

Two daughters, Ford Grace Engelson born in August 2020 and Sienna Lee Engelson born in November 2021, have been welcomed into the family since the couple’s marriage.

None of them had desired the way Meghan and Trevor’s marriage ended, of course. They haven’t actually discussed what transpired. But Trevor’s friend—who has asked to remain anonymous—now says that Meghan’s ex-husband was left in complete shock.

But the friend claims that he has received his “revenge” today.

“For a long time, things were difficult for Trevor. He’s a good guy, but Meghan crushed him when she demanded a divorce. When she took up with Prince Harry, he was crushed all over again because he was constantly reminded of her because of the publicity around the marriage and then the drama of the Oprah interview. But that’s all in the past now,” the friend told the Daily Mail.

“When I saw him recently, he kept going on about how he’s the happiest he’s ever been, how he loves being a dad, and how he’s never felt more fulfilled.”

Engelson’s friend added, “Everyone in Trevor’s life knows not to mention the ‘M’ word. He’s moved on and, in some ways, you could say he’s having an even better life than Meghan. He probably has more money than she does now; he’s doing what he loves, and he’s out of the spotlight. It’s the ultimate revenge.”

Trevor Engelson and his spouse reportedly reside in a “wealthy” Los Angeles area, according to the Daily Mail. His acquaintance told the news site that he “never stops smiling” when he’s with his wife and kids, and that he is reported to “adore” them.
